Our relationship will reflect a Christian perspective and
submission to the principles of the scriptures as a final
standard for all good living and measure of well-being.
We seek to relate to each person as created in the image
of God and to carefully assess and evaluate the
physiological, psychological, intellectual, aesthetic,
ethical, and spiritual aspects of each person's concerns.
Therapeutic change includes growth in trust of God and each other and increasing integrity and |
genuineness
of heart in relationship to God, self and others. In a
word, the therapist desires to facilitate the removal of
blocks to loving God and each other. This change in the
integrity of the relationships requires courage as the
counselor and client face denial, deceit, false beliefs,
fear and self-centeredness. The principles that God
reveals in the scripture, guide us in our endeavor to
reflect His character and thus the relationship of the
counselor models encouragement, hope, comfort and truths
